Walgreens colossal cave8/24/2023 Got through EDD in two tries (team wipe on stage 3), first try was with full team with me as scout. On the other hand if it's just 1 very skilled player carrying 2-3 relative beginners it can go south fairly easily. EDD with 4 players, all of average skill usually will go very smoothly. It's almost a given that anybody eligible to try an EDD is going to have basics covered, but what's beyond that is an open question. In multiplayer, especially with random lobbies you get huge variety of skill levels. So what's easy for a scout might be hard for gunner and vice versa. For solo players specifically - different classes have effectiveness for different objectives.Even more of a difference can be felt if people took builds tailored specifically to warnings and mission types present in current EDD.Whether your team is running builds that are basically random, a meme build or something decently well rounded for high hazard play can make meaningful difference.Whether you get handful of goo bombers and wardens or bulk detonators, stingtails and septic spreaders (or anything in between) is still randomised. There is a bunch of different factors which can massively influence whether given mission is hard or not even within the same EDD generation: I played Engineer together with a Driller, on Steam. The Dreadnaught's cocoon is in open cave by it's lonesome. Beware of the ledge right next to the hiveguard cocoon, it's a long way down. One of the eggs (both are in the Hiveguard cave) is located in the roof but it's still fairly easy to reach as you're already at roof level entering the cave. Third Stage - The Hiveguard's cocoon is right on the other side of a dirt wall and can be fought in the starting cave.Beware of a leech in the last cave, though. You'll have to travel to the last cave to repair the final Mini-mule. Second Stage - As you leave the starting cave, you'll end up a ledge with enough empty air underneath to kill you. There's enough nearby Oilshale to quickly refuel Doretta. First Stage - One egg is in the starting cave and the other in the inbetween cave between refueling and Heartstone. Only the first stage is going to take some time but the other two can be gone through fast. This week's Deep Dive is a prime contender for the sub-45 minutes achievement.
